Already one of the oldest continuing downtown areas in Texas, Historic Downtown Mansfield remains the heartbeat of the city. The Mansfield Convention & Visitors Bureau, Mansfield Parks & Recreation and the Mansfield Commission for The Arts will present this year’s Music Alley Music & Arts Festival on Saturday, September 7th. The theme of this year’s event is "Celebrating the '80s." The event will be a fun-filled day of food, arts & crafts, and the best fashion and music of the '80s.
The Mansfield Music Alley Festival features four stages of live music with over a dozen bands performing throughout the evening, playing favorite '80s hits. Scheduled performers include Primadonna, Heart tribute band Even it Up, Danny Dash, Sheryl Douglas, and headliners Electric Avenue.
Food vendors will include Jefe’s TexMex BBQ, Events by BJ, Branded Burger Co., Flavor After Flavor, Pink Company, Vito’s Kettle Corn, Diamond Ice Delivery, Big D Barbecue, and Smokin’ Cactus. There will also be on-site arcade games provided by Texas Entertainment, 80s makeovers done by Sinclair’s Cosmetology, and virtual reality experiences provided by Maverick VR.
More than 125 years ago, the crossroads of Main and Broad streets was where Ralph Man and Julian Feild located the grist mill that would drive the growth of the town they called Mansfield. Today, the Historic Downtown has retained its charm and is undergoing a renaissance. From new restaurants and shops to live music and numerous city festivals, the downtown area is once again thriving and drawing residents and visitors to its unique and eclectic vibe.
Enjoy tons of family-friendly entertainment at the annual Mansfield Music Alley Music & Arts Festival. Admission and parking is free.
